thank you for your good wishes!
Today was moving very very slowly, which meant I had lot sof time to think about everything. This was good when driving someone else's truck and trailer, taking someone else's horse to a dressage show. It was also very handy for riding every step of the tests.
Mme Savidge was not, we worked hard and were rewarded with kind words and 7s on the walk on a long rein. We were also remarkably consistent: 58.2 on T2 and 57.6 on T3 There was no ring stompage, and no leaving the ring before we were done...
Penny is preternaturally calm. She loaded easily, plus we experimented with self-loading (and won). I have nailed how much warming up she requires, but didn't get enough room to do it right for the first test (which apparently didn't matter - look at the scores!) I am so grateful to this horse for her willingness and good nature.
Oh ribbons? yes, thank you! I have finally busted out of my sixth place streak. We were 4th and 2nd, respectively. The offspring are properly impressed.
And now I have to take Alice to my mother's so she can have sailing day camp, at Camp Grandmother.
