no pony, new problems
Apr. 7th, 2015 05:14 pmI missed LJ because i missed writing things into the ether that I was moderately sure someone was going to read.
I listened to myself and backed out of riding for the next month. It feels like an enormous relief at the moment, I'll know better in a week or two if it continues to be the right thing.
I listened to myself and made fun art, instead of getting all serious on myself, and that was good and is sitll fun and I shall continue.
I have taken on oversight (for lack of a better term) or a kid at the high school whose mom got posted to the hospital with fluid in her lungs and around her heart on Friday. I can drive her places, I can feed her when she's with me, and I can mobilize a bunch of her cohort to call me if they think she needs an adult. I've offered her sleeping space at our hosue if she wants to not be in her house alone nights. So. She's an only child of a single mom - she was in her apartment alone, she's working nights... I just. She's breaking my heart. So I can help her do the basic stuff, and support her as best I can now, and only to the extent she's willing, and assume she'll have a monster breakdown when she has the time and space. She's a graduating senior. She has so much shit on her plate already...
