Mar. 25th, 2011 07:35 pm lesson on Nuada - something about lessons, and being overseen, makes me rigid, and I spend the entire time surreptitiously stretching and bending and wiggling my toes and trying valiantly to loosen up. Reinforced that I was aiming at the right kinds of things when riding him, which was nice.
Image has been slightly under the weather for the week. Janice put him on ulcer meds, and he's perked up some but still isn't really comfortable in his body. Mostly I can see it in his response to grooming; when he's happier he leans into the brushing and makes ecstatic wriggly nosed faces when I hit the sweet spots. Today he was evasive and stompy. So we just walked and trotted a little, to get moving without too much discipline.
In an unexpected turn of events, my bag that was stolen turned up in the bushes in the field across the street. Our awesome neighbors found it playing frisbee. So my sketch book is back, having spent four months out in the weather, and my nice big green bag that they don't make any more and I couldn't figure out what to replace with is back needing only a wash to be usable again, and Al's wallet with everything except the cash. I can only think my old orange wallet is out there too, having had the three dollars removed from it before being tossed into the weeds.
so, going around, coming around, and spring IS in the air
