dancing_crowI profoundly disapprove of the Life on Mars ending for the Us series. There is no greater cheat than "it was all a dream"
I've reserved the BBC version from the library, so I can test it against the original. But I think they were both inspired by Pratchett's Night Watch, where Vimes does something similar. Only he had Time Monks to help out. Yeah, both He-Vimes and He-Pratchett.
