I don't know why horrendous sleep one night doesn't affect me the day after, but instead kicks my sorry butt TWO days later. The fallout from Alice ill on Sunday night was like dragging an anchor around all day today.

I still managed to ride, and keep Alice company, and schedule the Coggins test for Bully, and I have a lesson on him tomorrow at the new barn.

The new barn owner said he has no molars, which I found deeply startling, but after staring at him she recanted. It is true that he doesn't eat much hay. It is very true that he eats a lot (really, a LOT) of grain, although it is less than it was when I first got him (close to 15 quarts all told, down to 9). It is also true that his teeth were floated in October, and he is up to date on shots and worming and he's old. He's a really old Thoroughbred, and he's entitled to eat what he needs. I told her that coming in, and I told her I would pay for the fact that he is a hard keeper.
