clearing spree

To my amusement and slight chagrin all the dolls that are currently traveling away from my studio in mailing boxes are ones that I never managed to finish. Some need clothes, some need hair or identities or shoes. They have all been sitting up there on top of the pie box I use to sort papers and projects (it is a truly excellent object - a Table Talk Pie box, with slots for transporting a bunch of pies. I had to fight my mother for it.) for the last 15 years or more, now they are not there. They were decent, if faintly accusatory, company.

I have a clock there now. I am curious, in a resigned sort of fashion, how long it will remain empty, because it is a flat space in a very solidly packed room.
