go big or ...not

I seem to be working big - I got yarn for a FREAKING GIANT AFGHAN, all beautifully rainbow colored, and there are a hundred squares, and I have finished ten, so 10%, yipee!! Stargate helps things go along. Honestly the General is the Best Boss Evar.
I also emailed Timna to ask her to either talk me into or out of a huge (YOOOGE) quilty project. A competition called Quilts=art=Quilts hit all my buttons, except there is minimum size. A minimum size. I have a maximum size and it is around 15x20" and the minimum required for this is 900 square inches, or 20x45, or 30x30, or.... and Timna tells me that they would like my work. So I can either try to cope on my small machine, or go camp out at the local quilt shop, and "test drive" the sit-down long arm until the piece is done. Which looks like I am aiming at because I started it this afternoon. Great Kate suggested i try it pieces and stick it together, and after I cut 4 pieces that would fit into the correct size, i realized I should just go large.
