dancing_crowNancy's wake was last night, or yesterday afternoon. A lot of hugging and crying, and Cousin Eddy who is a shining beacon of happy and I love him so, and (as I always forget) a lot of talking and laughing around the topic at hand with all the interesting and funny people that family collects.
The memorial service this afternoon is being threatened with snowpocalypse, but it looks like cooler heads (thank you National Weather Service for telling us the facts as best as you can see them) say it will start snowing about the time we are headed home, and finish well after midnight.
Al in his wisdom and kindness found us a hotel room with two doors and a living room to separate the snoring parents from the non-snoring offspring. As a mad bonus it has verra speedy internet (by which I am coming to you now) a comfy couch, three (THREE!!) enormous TVs which we are not making any use of what so ever, and an electric/gas fireplace in the corner to make things cozy. We are thinking of not going home. this is awesome.
