Exciting day on the parental front: My dad's been freed from his back brace, and is about to be sent home from rehab, about which he is completely delighted. I'm a tiny bit worried about how he's going to cope, and thinking about what kind of boat project I can start in the yard. I want for him to feel useful, but I'd also kind of love to have a little trailerable cruising sailing boat, just because.
Taking him out for breakfast was nice, but made me late for everything else. The riding lesson was very low key, and yet; half pass. no drama, just apply the aids and... half pass. huh. I am thinking that maybe I am not as stuck as I feel and I should just STFU, stop whining, and keep riding.
