Two horse day. Nuada first; short trot to warm up and even out (he's really crooked until he's warmed up) then walk canter (walk canter walk canter) getting softer and rounder and more forward and sneezing explosively. Is sneezing an evasion? It does seem to be a delicate balance. Kaboose second, with a very similar plan. More trotting, trying to get more rubber-bandy, then outside just as the first snowflakes were starting to do walk canter walk (except we walk canter BIG TROT walk) (which is frustrating) (for both of us, I think).

Home for food and kids and to talk to the orthodontist about braces for Aerin, and then home home home and snuggle up because there is more snow out there than there has been in the last three storms put together.

The circle is rods, as in rods and cones in retinas. because rods see in black and white, and everything in March will be in black and white. This is one of the places I disagree with Paul Simon - I think everything looks better photographed in black and white. The back porch looks like art, the kids look like art, horses look like art, clouds and landscapes... the only thing I prefer in color is flowers. And real life, mostly.
