May. 23rd, 2012 07:55 aminternet fail last night, don't know why
I'm in Maine again. I had to farm out Alice to another family that can actually wake up in the morning, so that she could get to school. Aerin's last day was yesterday. I am more freaked out about Aerin's last day of school and graduation than I am over her going to college in the fall. Possibly because the last day is here, now, and college is still out there somewhere...
My dad continues to improve. He had a visitor from work when I got there, and then two friends from here (he says his only friends, from here, but I am thinking he accounts friends differently) who I love dearly, and have an invitation to stay with them next time instead of in the hotel. He had clothes on, and the PT wanted him to try a drive in the car.(!?!) so we did. I've got Al's car this time, we stretched him out in the front seat, reclined as far as it could go, and propped his head up with a backpack and a sweatshirt, and off we went. He was comfortable, cheerful and chatty. I came thisclose to just driving him home. Really. The distance and the frustration are, well, frustrating.
I'll visit some more this morning, but I promised the fambly I'd be back in time to make supper.
