still working on local landscapes

took the red mare out and experimented with cantering up hills and walking peacefully back down. Snow was NOT falling off trees and we did very nicely.

Al's company Christmas party at the casino is tonight. I have a new purple dress, wrist and ear bling, and adorable black shoes covered with tiny black rosettes. I'm also packing black jeans and a turtle-neck for comfort's sake. We're spending the night, so we've left my spare daughter in charge (Thank you Abby!!) more to pry the girls out of bed tomorrow than for any baby-sitting required tonight.

I'm only slightly dreading the evening. I'll report back.
