Jan. 27th, 2012 08:08 pm2 horses. pelting rain. Kaboose on her own in the indoor for an entire hour, to just work and think and not keep out of anyone's way? totally awesome. Lots and lots and lots of lateral work with me sitting up tall and trying hard not to lock up on one side or the other, trying to stay soft and breathe her over, and let her stay chill and thinky instead of all rushy and agitated and mad. And then the lateral work became two steps of leg-yield aaaand Canter, soft and forward and sweet as you please. Which rocked.
Nuada and I did just enough walk and canter to get him evened up and soft and then we stopped, because I don't know my exact end date for riding him a couple times a week. He is such a sweet guy.
And then I had a ton of errands and children and other people's children and yadda yadda.
I have bound the sketchbook for the Sketchbook Project, and Al says it looks very cool and slightly odd. I was hoping for very cool, truthfully. I am feeling very intimidated by the photos of the other sketchbooks coming in. But mine definitely looks like nothing else I've seen so far. There are some photos of my pages in progress on Flickr
For today's circle I wanted to to make three diagonal sets of nine dots or stars, but I was stymied by the lack of corners on a circle. Just like all the dressage clinics and judges say.
