Kaboose still on high alert. I think when the doors are closed all the noises get extra significant. So I opened the doors, and then we went out and stomped around the field (she likes pushing her nose through the snow) and up and down the driveway and made sure there were no tigers out there, and then we continued riding. And we had a pretty good ride.

Alice and I thought we'd try to get down to the Northeastern Poultry Conference (known locally as the chicken show) but she didn't wake up until after I got home. So we hung out until time to go to the District concert. Aerin was playing second bassoon in the orchestra; they did some Carmen which was faaabulous, and something else which was fine. The chorus was lovely, the jazz band always goes on too long, and the band was cheerful and speedy. AYM came too (he was planning on it, and kind of guilted Al into coming by example). When the concert finished we all went to join the Verts for Chinese and made each other laugh.

And then I remembered I had a circle due. And having done the circle, I am remembering why I disliked working with foil. It is kind of ugly, and tawdry, too bright and ugly edges. And I am not sure whether to keep pushing on using it until the end of January, or make other gold stars in other way. So.
