Dec. 14th, 2011 08:57 pmwhat a bizarre day, full of angst and distraction
Aerin took the van so she could drive A/V equipment around for a concert at one of the elementary schools so Alice had a ride with a neighbor. we had a plan to cross paths and swap the van back to me, but I really had to get to the barn, and I was fretting over the idea of Kaboose taking apart XF
so I wound up borrowing my awesome neighbors' car to get up to the barn
Kaboose had not, in fact, been dreadful. she was UP and a little nervy about almost everything, but we went out walking - exploring - and she was interested and bold. She was also relieved to get back, making the farm seem more familiar and more comfortable.
After getting a lot of groceries (I'd been avoiding it for a while) a woman backed into the neighbors' car, seriously denting the bumper but leaving the lights intact and most of the quarter panel fine. I think it is up to me to pay for it, or the other lady's insurance -
the rest of the afternoon was kind of blurry. it contained a migraine, some meds, an eye exam for Alice with a new, much stronger prescription, making supper, napping, a very fuzzy waking up with Al home from business travel
I am reduced to Glee and knitting.
