I was really really pleased with these until I was out last night after bringing a pile (five, actually) children to the circus and checked up on the Big Dipper, and realized I'd gotten my version backwards. Well damn.

In other damn kinds of things, my neighbor is mad at my birch tree, which I love, and is big enough to climb against all odds, after 11 years here. It is dropping stuff on her patio, and into her daughter's pool, and the roots are pushing on her driveway, and the shade is killing her grass, and my general attitude is whaaaaat? how can you care about that when you have this thing making lovely shade and nice views? It is clearly making her batshit, more that she is already. I mean, she was already a lawn nazi, and she talked me into moving three other trees, killing them all in the process. I am really mad about it, and I don't know quite what to do. I mean, her lawn really matters to her. But she lives with her daughter. I guess if her daughter cares, I'll think harder about something. But still. crap. Cut it down?? Seriously? It is Alice's tree. She lives in it.
