May. 10th, 2011 01:08 pm I seem to be thinking about time travel, especially visiting the past.
It started with Night Watch, Pratchett's book on Same Vimes going backwards to fix something. Then the American Life on Mars, which started out nicely ambiguous but degenerated into "just a dream" and pissed me off beyond recall, so I got the BBC Life on Mars which seems more comfortable with ambiguity but I haven't gotten too far into it.

I found another book at the library called Storm Without Rain by Jan Adkins, which takes place all over Buzzards Bay and Cape Cod which we sailed over with such pleasure when I was young. It is lovely to read about it when it was a thriving place entirely under sail.
Any other suggestions?
