(no subject)

ten some things I've done that you might not have:

deckhand on a (tiny)(red!) freighter in the West Indies
cook on the same freighter
carried a sextant through airline security and tried to explain what it does and how it is NOT hazardous
ridden a bicycle 60 miles in one day, with camping gear and claptrap attached to it
danced all night to the steel drums in Trinidad at Carnival time
watched my baby being born
been on two different boats during two different hurricanes, one anchored, one at sea, in the middle of the Atlantic
had (another) hurricane for my birthday
hitched a ride on a workboat from Venice out to Murano while still utterly unable to speak Italian
created a small piece of art almost every day for a year

These are all kind of old - apparently I need to have more adventures again
