Sep. 19th, 2010 09:20 pmI've been watching Jonathan Creek (thank you Abby!) on youtube, and noticing the differences between the byplay between Jonathan and Maddie there and Bones and Booth in Bones - no one I've ever met is as cut off from human emotion as Bones, and I hung with a very geeky crowd in grad school. The tension between Bones and Booth is starting to wear on me. I can only assume the writers noticed that finally consummating a relationship between leads tends to be a stopping point for a series and they are not yet ready to close the franchise down. Either it finishes the show, or you have to manufacture tension some other way, and people tend to run out of ideas pretty quick.
Maddie and Jonathan just rub each other the wrong way, or something. They are more like people I know and like, spiky personality and all, and the ways they piss each other off amuse me deeply.
In other news, I am icing my shoulder because Henry said it helped him, and sure enough it is making a difference. That worked so well, I decided to try icing the bottoms of my feet too since they have been sore lately - avoiding impact helps, so the stair machine is fine but walking too far hurts. So I have cold feet, and a cold shoulder. I am a walking mixed metaphor, which I didn't expect.
