I really hope someone, somewhere, is having a nice time with my June Weather - because I clearly have Someone Else's and I'd rather like to give it back.

My June is usually warm and sunny, and has scattered showers once or twice a week. Enough to grow the hay, but enough sun to dry it.

The June I am having has rained daily for the last several weeks, and somehow routinely on Tuesdays thus erasing my riding lessons (which I Want and NEED) and postponing the hay harvest until it will be inedible for the ponies...

It is raining, sort of, again. A persistent drizzle.

I wimped out of riding in the rain, and I missed another lesson. I feel obscurely as though I should have stepped up to the weather and gotten wet.

At least Bob and I went out, briefly, this morning, in spite of the weather. Penny and Ruby were great. Bob, after riding Mongolian horses for a couple days through crazy wilderness, agrees that his horses could lose some weight. He had a great time, with some really fabulous pictures. The funniest had to be of the saddles they used - both the Mongolian ones that look like they are made out of plywood, and the one Bob used which was an old Russian cowboy saddle. It looked like it was composed entirely of rectangles, really uncomfortable rectangles. Bob said everything broke, all the time, and they just kept tying it together again with more string.

I  am going to go sulk (about the weather, not about Bob's tales of Mongolia), and knit a sock.
