when in trouble, when in doubt
May. 6th, 2009 10:36 pmI am doing all the running in circles I can stand.
I'm dyeing shirts. My hands look bloody but it is only Chinese Red with some splashes of soft orange and deep purple.
I have run 4000 errands and I feel kind of breathless.
Al's in Palm Springs. I miss him.
My town has Pride week all this week, and school today was dedicated to cross dressing. The tall child chose to eschew her usual cargo pants and stacked t-shirts for a flippy skirt and yellow shirt, and (the crowning touch) pink and yellow ribbons in her mostly loose hair. She said Math and Band were the most interesting and she had a series of conversations with friends who usually wore skirts or dresses but were today panted that were "how do you do this all the time??!" Yesterday they heard from three young men from the Stonewall Center at UMass, who had been women a couple of years ago. Did I say I love my town? I do. Really.
