After making blueberry muffins for breakfast I escaped and rode Kaboose.

The trick to blueberry muffins is the balance of blueberry and muffin. Friends bring home 10 lb boxes of blueberries from their Maine vacation every year, and stockpile them in their own freezer before disbursing to others, so I have more than enough to work with. After experimentation, I can tell you that one cup is not enough, nor is two although it is better, three is about perfect, and the muffins lose structural integrity beyond three and a half cups. They are tasy, but they won't come out of the pan and they hav to be eaten with spoons and they don't hold butter so well.

Kaboose wqas fine. She is shoeless for the fall and winter, and a little footy and tripping some getting used to it. We worked on lateral efforts; haunches in, shoulders in, and half-circle/half-pass to wall, rinse & repeat. I feel like I am working on courage as much as position and response. Courage for me and courage for her.

I really, REALLY have to start making things again. I seem to remember I had this focus problem in previous years also. And mostly made crappy stuff in Septembers too. Bummer.
