dancing_crowTo my sorrow, no one at the High School open house last night asked about the chalk footprints on my (black!) pants or the chalk around my wrists, so I couldn't sheepishly allow I'd been at family circus just before, and balancing my big kid on me. We needed the chalk to improve grip for a standing pose. It was fun.
(Red Kate - we worked on three things: one thing Aerin and I could do and teach at Acrojam, one thing Alice could teach her friend Emma on the sling when she comes next week, and one trick that would wow Al and make him sorry he wasn't there. We got all those, except the three high was more like 2.5 high since Alice was on my shoulders with Aerin on my thighs instead of Alice on Aerin's shoulders....)
This semester, Aerin has a football coach for history, who likes what he's teaching and likes kids, and even deals well with homogeneous classes, her favorite math teacher for Stats, along with a room full of seniors, and a medium snark, low affect man for AP Calc. A pretty good semester, actually. Even without being asked about chalk.
