strenuous but mystifying success

I am astonished, and grateful, but deeply mystified. Why, after throwing myself at the Alpine Tower (picture soon) at Family Camp once a year, on and off over the last six years, did I make it up This Year? When I am heavier by 25 lbs, older by 5 years, not the strongest I've been, sick and hacking phlegm, one eye pink-eyed shut practically, still stiff from falling off last week (and truthfully still twingey about the ribs from falling off in March).... I am an ancient, coughing wreck, and yet I went up and up and up, and have pictures of me at the top. The view was spectacular.
In celebration I went home sick, got lost by the emergency room when I tried to get a strep test, cried at the pharmacy man who gave me the zithromax, slept for 12 hours and fought a battle to the death with borked internet and netflix so that I could lie on the couch in hacking splendor and watch all the Farscape my soggy head could absorb.
Still mystified. On the whole, pretty damn pleased with myself. Thanks bod, whatever the reason.
