heh - Red Kate will probably blog this too, but tonight we had dinner together, and there were two awesome sauces, a Chimi Churri and a raspberry and cream sauce. Plus major win for brownies. So we had win with awesomesauce, plus ice cream, for dessert.

Chimi Churri was freely adapted from Tea & Cookies: a generous fistful of cilantro, three cloves of garlic, process, add oil to cover and a squidge of lime to keep it green. It needed salt, so salt to taste, and serve with beef.

Raspberry sauce was a bag of frozen raspberries and some sugar (more than 1/2, less than a full cup) boiled to less than soft ball stage, with heavy cream added til nicely pink and boiled again til boiling - nice and thick, still dribbles over the edges of things well, and has a surprisingly dairy flavor to it. I left it on the burner the first time and scorched everything to the bottom of the pan, so I still need advice for chiseling off the blackened wreckage.
