I suppose it is accounted a success if there was wild applause (which there was) but damn - I have rope burns on the backs of my knees from performing static trapeze on Saturday. The key words there are Performing and Trapeze. I finally showed off my piece to the assembled multitudes of my home town, in a valiant attempt to demonstrate that one does not need to be young, muscular or foolhardy to take circus classes, but in fact amusement value can be obtained by the lumpy middleaged as well. I don't think that message got through. The (horde of) 2 year olds appreciated it. My daughter gave me a fabulous hug and all the other performers were delighted for me. I hereby declare it successful. Sadly it is undocumented, unless some unknown soul took pictures. I will look about and report back.
