Both bareback, in the ring with the hidden icy bits to trap the unwary (mostly Penny who was trying to corner like a motorcycle and would NOT stand up and bend into it properly)
Mostly just getting back on after a week away. Walking, move off the leg, bend; my last lesson Abby mentioned using twice as much leg as hand, for any given operation, so I was trying to only just breathe with the reins and kind of booting her about the turns. Which produced some surprisingly nice results. So then we practiced mounting and dismounting until it was boring. Which got... boring.
Ruby had go, and move away from the leg, but no real stop. So after the last several sessions where we'd stop and do something like back up or turn on the forehand, this time we'd just stop, and stand still. Apparently Very Difficult today. There were Things that sounded like Tigers in the woods, and we both knew the ring Would Not keep them out. Ah well, her brain itched, and she still behaved pretty well for a baby. So we quit while ahead. She turns five this year, and I'll have to stop cutting her so much slack.
And now I have a nice new RED microwave that the rest of the family will hate (because it is new, and they don't deal well with change [unless they initiated it]) but it should make my oatmeal in 2 or 3 minutes instead of 6, and coffee in 2 or 3 minutes instead of 8 and potatoes in 3 or 4 minutes instead of 25 (might as well use the actual oven for those...) There were a bunch of other RED kitchen things, including a set of pots, a set of bowls, a stand mixer, a hand mixer, a coffee machine, a crock pot, a blender and cuisinart kind of object, and none of them followed me home. Not even the red teapot.
