a pair of my sound techs are getting territorial and defensive about their knowledge and the new sound board. I want to dope slap them, but that won't actually work. So while they are going to be enouraged to work on the A Capella sound, they will not be invited or requested for in-school things that require sound. The plan is to attempt to get them to play well with others or GTFO. The trouble is that the sound people for a capella do, in fact, have skills that are different from and more honed than anyone else's. But they will not train others, they will not describe what they are doing, and they are actively defying me, the student tech director and the teacher mostly involved in this. I don't think any one of us can fix it, but I think together we can at least squeeze them hard enough to make them rethink their position.
I chased myself through the workout my personal trainer gave me for the second time on my own. I forgot the piece of paper, so I was recreating it, and goofing around a little because I've recently had enough sleep and enough calories. That was less deathly than the last time I did it, so I am maybe stronger? With better wind? that would be cool.
Working steadily, if in very small bites, on the next large marsh piece, and waiting to hear from an online original art sales place. I won't hear from Excellence in fibers until mid-October which is fast approaching.
I figured out two more little seascapes to make for the Crane Estate sale. I am allowed to have two big pieces and three little ones (under 8x8") - i have finished one big one, and one little one that I fished out of the finished pile and framed up.
I owe one of my new friendslist a meme, about when I was 42, which doesn't seem that long ago! 33 was a long time ago. 42 was very much like now is. Well. Except for the size of the children.
