Al had a birthday and I had a migraine. I am not sure how that falls on the scale of inflicted misery. I do remember having a migraine, cramps and pms on one of my birthdays, and on my 30th I was migraining and puking in a dorm in Slovakia... He did get cake, and friends and food and a lot of people he loves telling him things to make him laugh.

I was working on a show at the HS on Saturday. I ran the light board, and managed to do well and also put my elbow on the go button making things dark and strange at the wrong moment. It was NOTHING like running lights from my yoot, and enlightening. We got strike done pretty quick, and I managed to smack myself in the forehead (with the help of the stage manager who is not at all to blame) pretty spectacularly. I've been waiting for the bruise to color up, but it hasn't yet.

Since we are forbidden to clean house the day before Xmas (that was a very bad year) we cleaned a lot of it today, and stopped before anyone started crying (a different very bad year). The kitchen floor is a very different color that it was. I have a lot of veggies for roasting, and a large hunk of beef, and a plank of salmon for Xmas-eve dinner. That will be tasty.

I've been thinking a lot about love. I said on facebook that I was so appalled and irritated by the god dude at Nancy's funeral that I filled out the form to be a Universal Life minister. I want to talk about how someone was loved: conceived in love (we hope) raised in love (again we hope) and if they have friends and family then surrounded in love and raising the next generation with love maybe as parents, maybe as favored aunts or eccentric uncles. I want to be able to offer someone a secular funeral in the same way people now are designing their own wedding vows and ceremonies. To include the ideas that matter most to the family of the deceased.
