I like bees in the abstract, but in person I get a little freaked out, and a little squicked by their bugness. This one was carved on a temple wall in ancient Egypt. The carving showed the veins in the wings, but only had 4 legs. it was so detailed, I can't decide what they meant by the leg thing - ignoring what wasn't artistic, or just hiding a couple behind other ones. or a genuine lack of understanding about the number of legs bugs have.

Spending all day lying about on the couch does give me a fair amount of time to work on the really boring projects that I normally can't sit still for. Today I managed to attach all my google calendars to my phone calendar, which took far longer than it should have, and I constructed a calendar for 2013 with pictures of my artwork at zazzle. it was tedious, but honestly, what else am i going to do?
