Got up to the barn today and poor Image was sick - high temp, lassitude, grouchy... J had administered Banamine and the vet said antibiotics. I fed him a handful of carrot bites, mixing in the antacids he gets, and left him alone. There was a LOT of tooth grinding and tail swishing. Poor Immy. I am feeling slightly guilty (did riding him too hard make him sick?) and really bummed - he was so great yesterday in the clinic with Verne Batchelder (although I admit Verne did stand ready with a Very Long Whip to tap on his hocks as necessary) I was looking forward to a ride, trying to get some of that feeling back.

I hope he feels better soon, poor old gent.

So I thought about what I should do in November, and I think it is the sketchbook I acquired long ago and have done nearlynothing with since it arrived. If I really pay attention in November, and do nothing else (well, maybe some knitting....) it will be done. I wrote more about it at the real blogge.
