I don't think I have ever had more than a page or two of friend's posts, and now I am over-run (in the best way) and I feel like I should tidy up and shuffle the magazines into piles. My mother always said the easiest way to tidy the living room was kick the loose stuff under the couch and line up the mazaines so their edges were square with the table top.
It is hotter and stickier than I like, but then I was doing OK with artic stuff in February and not ok at all with over 90 this summer (sorry, a yank forever, and although all my oceanography was in metric, I still can't do fast conversions in my head). It will cool down because September. But the high pressure seems to make for more migraines. Alice says we are highly inaccurate and fundamentally flawed barometers.
I started two pieces today, one of the marsh behind the Crane Estate in Ipswich - there is this perfect overlook as you go up the driveway, and I realized I ahd taken a picture or three from that point every year i took artwork up there, so it seemed like time to start that. And then i had a sudden need to make a river of gold rectangles across a field of turquoise. I have the field down, and now i need to cut up the gold fabrics and stitck them down somehow. I'll post it when I finish it.
Al washed the counters so clean I lost the KitchenAid - it just blended into the shining whiteness. It took me two passes and some waving my hands where it usually is to find it. That was weird; I have never had blender-blindness before.
Today was breakfast for supper: blueberry muffins, bacon, scrambled eggs and yogurt. Tomorrow is introduce the new (potential) musical director to the principal, and make sure we have backign and funding for a musical. then we start sticking together the production team, and get to work. Not having a fall show this year means there is SO MUCH more time in my life.
