Oct. 27th, 2011 08:43 ampoor Alice was overwhelmed with a flu shot and a headache yesterday, so she stayed home and did a lot of quiet breathing and some origami.
I went up to ride Image (with Alice's permission) and he was having dentistry done to him, with power tools. Having had dentistry done to me the day before I was sympathetic, particularly as his version required a calming dose of something that made him wobbly on his feet, and getting his mouth held open with a fierce looking contraption. Plus, yanno, moto-tools in his mouth. Although my dentist also uses power tools in my mouth, at least they are small.
This was the firs time J had thought he needed anything other than general floating, and the first time (in 20 years) he'd had to be sedated for teeth, and the first time he'd had motorized grinding done in his mouth. I'm not sure what persuaded her differently, but I am very curious to see if his digestive issues are any better, and if he gets any less grouchy.
So I came home, and messed about with more art prep work.
