There will be broken branches aplenty around here before the day is through. This time we are on the wrong side of the freeze line. No School, so we are overdosing on baking and Avengers, with a soupcon of Jeeves for pudding.
I realized that the Wizarding world of Harry Potter compared to England could be analogous to the world of E.E. Nesbit compared to our world. The monetary system is deeply mysterious, there are many recognizable systems in place (roads, bicycles, workable motorcars, mail carriers) alongside ancient and unremembered technology (horses and wagons, telegrams, trains). Just thinking.
