Because Alice has remarkably pointy knees, and she grows so slowly they have a looong time to wear away the pants, I have gotten very good at patching Alice's knees. She's had pandas, and cats, and a lovely spiderweb over a patch that said "some kid". So when I saw this idea in a friend's list of favorite things, I knew we'd have to put a monster on her knee. Alice and I did it this morning.

The monster has braces too. Of silver thread. Because even monsters have to get their teeth straightened.
