wrapped against the cold in sandwich bags
dreaming of flight

birds are the only generalizable thing - all things with feathers are birds
all birds have feathers
feathers are their own kind of magic
talisman, dream catcher, instigator
our rackety approximation of flight does not come close
to the freedoms feathers bestow
