We walked with baby cows yesterday.
Brattleboro hosts the Strolling of the Heifers that is a kind of hybrid hippy version of spring festival, blessings of the flock and music for the masses. We marched with the New England Center for Circus Arts - Aerin on stilts, Al and me carrying the banner in the front and Alice with a headache on the trailer behind us. There was a festival afterwards, with food, especially fried, also cotton candy and maple syrup spun into cotton candy (both better than it sounds and yet slightly disappointing) many many dairy products and performances including Aerin (again) on lyra.
today we start cleaning house. This is a larger undertaking than it sounds like.
