tonight was pancakes and bacon for supper. Alice was sniffing appreciatively at the bacon going into the pan.
Alice: We ordinary people now live like kings used to, don't we?
me: We live like fucking gods.
Alice: do gods have bacon?
me: I thought the point of being a god was to have everything.
Alice: Well, I wouldn't be a god if I couldn't have bacon.
