Well - the mud has come, and the shedding has started, and my internal thermostat has clicked into high gear and I am HOT and wanting to feel breezes on my skin...
I think some spring is headed our way.
I got Bob on Penny bareback this morning, which was awesome. It makes his leg hang so much better, I am thinking I should maybe take away his stirrups for a day or two when we start using saddles again. I ran Ruby through about 200 transitions, and she kept her cool. We even cantered a couple times (thinking about canter transitions makes her brain itch), but mostly did a lot of walk trot walk halt trot halt walk. she did fine.
Bob took the two dogs for a walk, so Kaboose and I went with them. She was nose down moseying along thinking about licking snow and tasting everything we came across.
