What are the failure modes of a microwave oven?
Mine is more than 15 years old and may be 20, it is the smallest, oldest and weakest one ever. (it fits in my tiny house) It has developed odd harmonics in the last day.
Will it explode in an ugly fashion and involve collateral damage, or is it more likely to expire quietly?
At some other point I will recount the week of electrical failures I had that included the death of a mixer, a weed whacker and a blender.
