Poor sick Alice. It has everything to do with phlegm, but at least this time, she didn't get sick over vacation. Although I should probably check to see how many, exactly, days they can be out of school before it is considered truancy rather than illness. Apparently all those phoned in sick kid calls I made do not, in fact, excuse her from school. Nor does the note I write to go with her when she returns. I am flummoxed, and irked.
