the hazard to riding nothing but dressage for the last four years? I forgot that I had to really change my stirrup length to jump. I finally looked at my leathers, and brought the stirrups up two holes. (I could see the place where I had worn them in yearsnyears ago, and I finally thought hard enough about it) Voila - I can get up off the horse's back, stay off the horse's back, and balance better at the canter and over the fence.

I do not suck as bad as I thought I did. Actually, I am better than I hoped.
