I had forgotten how effective writing shit down was, behold:

• (as an aside, OMG we are SO shaggy and fluffy and disreputable looking next to the George Clooney horse [GP thankyouverymuch] and others that have been blanketed and clipped and spa-dayed or even just not bred for the winters of Quebec... but just typing that made me remember Disreputable Dog from that book [Abhorsen maybe?] and I feel better. very slightly.)
