this is the most successful of the lampworking experiments I made today. i did make a whole series of lumpy, ugly but amusing things with holes in them, making them technically beads. I might string this one on something and wear it as a reminder that new things are always worth trying.

Much as I wanted to like it, i think glass is not my medium. It might be lack of practice, it might be the propensity I had for lightly scorching my fingers, or the noise of the torch - it didn't take. I feel like I'd need a lot more practice to even get to the point where the messes I make are interesting...
