I AM HOME
It took a LOONG TIME to make it down the Maine coast. I had Alice's (stuffed) anteater Fritz packed into the passenger seat with his tongue flapping in the breeze. Also the muffler got whacked on a very large rock in Haystack's driveway and produced a throaty roar all the way home. Once I got to NH it took two hours.
My eyes are spinning gently in their sockets, and my ears are buzzing from the muffler and the windows open all the way (it seemed to help the noise quotient) and pleased to sit in a comfy chair. There are no comfy chairs at Haystack. There are awesome studio spaces, tasty food and comfortable beds in tiny sleeping spaces, and rocks with views, what feels like four thousand stairs, wooden benches with views... no comfy chairs.
