late sleep is nice, especially when I don't wake up with a headache
went to see the mares, and both Bob and Leo were there, and willing to ride. Leo was tense with Ruby who was behaving badly, so I tried to help Leo think about patterns and changing things up so Ruby didn't anticipate and didn't get bored. Very delicate balance, that. No one fell off. Although I realize Every. Single. Time. i sit on a horse, I get my feet into the stirrups and move off, and wonder "how did I do this the last time?"
world's weirdest nachos for lunch: corn chips, marinated mushrooms, marinated artichoke hearts, romano and parm cheese, and green salsa. pretty tasty for all that.
Red Kate came over, and we thought about looking for a bike for her, and wound up at a bookstore instead. Alice wants books about Homer's Illiad and Odyssey - if anyone has recs I'd be delighted. We all were drooling over the color Nooks at the end, Alice and I were drawing pictures on them, and Kate was just asking useful questions.
Long talk w/Kate while I made this crow, and she sorted through my new beads and my old beads looking for something to coordinate with my new! pea green! pearls.
