big birch tree
I have absurd amounts of fun making birch trees.
There is a curve on Rt 2 eastbound, just before Rt 495, where the entire north side of the highway is lined with birch trees, deep enough that I can't see the back of them. The sun always shines on them in wonderful ways, and every time I fly past too fast I want to stop and photograph them, so I can make art with them. Although I've gone past them often enough that I can probably recreate the feeling.
They are gorgeous all year round: winter they reflect the low honey colored winter sun, spring they wear a nimbus of pink and green, summer they are shiny and green, and in the fall they turn YELLOW...
I'm fond of beech trees, and elm trees too, but these are so fun
