and the edge of another shrubbery. I broke two needles in three minutes so it seemed like time to stop.

While the shrubbery makes me think of the Knights who say Ni, it also reminds of the best my favorite production of Twelfth Night ever. Boston Shakespeare put it on in the *mumbleearly1980s* when Bill Cain was directing. He had a flair for foolishness that I miss dreadfully. When Maria and Toby and Andrew were watching Malvolio read their letter, they were hiding behind tiny (adorable) potted trees.

That was the first year they tried All Night Bard; pay for one show, stay all night and see three, back to back (to back) and get a champagne breakfast into the bargain. I've forgotten what the first show was, the second was Two Gentlemen, and the third, starting at 3:00 am, as Twelfth Night. The audience was wired and enthusiastic. The actors, the same ones because it was a repertory, were punch drunk. When the techies wheeled out the the shrubberies, they got a round of applause.

so. Shrubberies.

And a pointless story, because these are saplings.
