SoBP part II

I made a complete fool of myself, and I don't think I care.

School was in fact cancelled today. Instead of sleeping late and ambling up at noon, I took Aerin and Fiona to Brattleboro and dropped them off with their circus coaches around 10:30 and ran for home. I really wanted to be done driving before the snow started. I did succeed at that. There were big trucks out pre-treating the roads; it looked like some liquid (it smelled weird, so I don't think it was plain water) with a salt truck behind. I am betting that helped for the first half hour, melting stuff, and then it just starts to pile up and get slushy. It is snowing fast and hard. Stop and Shop was DEranged. I told all the people working that I bumped into that they were doing a great job. It made them relax and smile - they must have been getting some complaints, although most everyone there looked resigned if not actually calm or happy. Every single checkout line was going, with baggers, and the lines were still 5 and 6 people long.

I made it home at 11:45 and the snow started at 1:00. It wasn't even close. And yet I am pleased that Aerin is there, and going to be in her show, and I don't have to drive in snow and darkness to accomplish it. Plus, she gets to sleep under the Christmas tree.

So. Paranoia in a good cause. Plus fresh bread, homemade pizza and pot roast.

Apparently when it snows, I cook.
